Abstract

Recently, national attention has focused on the availability of educational opportunities and training programs in order to assist low skilled individuals who are hurt the most by recent increases in inequality. This dissertation focuses on the valuation of these opportunities by looking at the value of educational opportunities as capitalized in house prices and the value of firm-provided training as reflected in firm productivity.
