The Upjohn Institute is co-sponsoring (with the University of Maryland Center for International Policy Exchanges) a series of meetings including potentially, an international conference on the skills mismatch in American manufacturing and policies or practices that might ameliorate it. Upjohn Institute staff members are contributing papers on incumbent worker training and sectoral initiatives.
