Description
Each year, the Southcentral Michigan Planning Council (SMPC) receives state funds to serve local units of government and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). SMPC serves its local constituents and MDOT by providing a variety of transportation-related data and analysis needed for decision making in non-metropolitan areas. In this project, the SMPC will develop with the assistance of the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study, an annual work program that will govern priorities for the region. The program will be subject to approval at the regional and state levels.
