Title

Staffing Services Employment

Project Dates

09/01/2011 - 11/30/2015

Description

This project largely involves the analysis of a rich data set that provides detailed information on all orders placed by Kelly Services in North America for the years 2007-2009. These data in combination with data from the OES (Occupational Employment Statistics) and other publicly available sources will be used to better understand the structure of the staffing industry, to test hypotheses as to why employers use staffing services, and examine the large role this industry plays during recessions and recoveries. The end products of the project include conference presentations, working papers, an article for a peer-reviewed journal, and some analysis for Kelly Services.
