Description
In this project, we will use exogenous variation in wages paid to entry-level childcare workers at Army Childcare Development Centers (CDCs) to understand the extent to which childcare worker hiring, turnover, and quality responds to an increase in the offered wage. Additionally, we will quantify parent and educator valuations of childcare quality and workplace amenities to assess whether wage increases are cost-effective relative to other policy interventions.
