Description
Many OECD economies have incredibly large numbers of unauthorized migration. Many governments legalize or are considering legalizing large parts of this unauthorized population. Despite this widespread public policy concern, little is known about how labor markets react to such legalizations. This research project will use the legalization of large numbers of migrants by the elected new government in Spain, following the terrorist attacks of March 2004. The empirical strategy will use high quality administrative data to analyze these questions.
