Description
This project will study the decline of the gender wage gap in Brazil over the past two decades focusing on rms as a determinant of gender pay disparities. Using an exceptionally detailed linked employer-employee census of Brazil's labor force I will address i) the extent to which the gender wage gap compression occurs between or within rms ii) which type of rms display larger disparities and iii) to what extent the positions or occupations reached by women within rms determine this gap.
