Description
We use new variation in U.S. state disability discrimination laws to identify the effect of disability discrimination laws on labor market outcomes of individuals with disabilities. We use SIPP data to create new measures of hiring and firing, and new disability measures that distinguish between physical and mental conditions and if the conditions are salient to an employer at the time of interview, all to capture a broader range of effects on employment outcomes for the heterogeneity disabled population.
