Description
This study assesses the decline in women’s, particularly mother’s, employment due to the economic recession starting in 2007. The author compares employment patterns among highly-educated women to those of lower education levels, offering a broad assessment of the type and extent of women’s employment decline. Both historical and recent data from the March Current Population Survey is used to illustrate employment patterns in the female work force.
