Title
Preparation of an Economic Development Strategic Plan for the City of Waco
Project Dates
10/01/2013 - 03/30/2014
Description
The Institute prepared an economic development strategic plan for the City of Waco. The strategic plan focused on finding employment pathways for unemployed and underemployed residents of the city who are living in poverty. In constructing the plan we conducted extensive one-on-one interviews with local economic development stakeholders to identify assets, existing networks and partnerships, strengths, and weaknesses. In addition, conducted a highly detailed quantitative analysis of the area’s economy. Finally, worked to create a plan that is financially sustainable.
