Title
Spatial Implications of Infrastructure: a Europe and Central Asia Regional Study
Project Dates
06/05/2008 - 06/30/2008
Description
The collaborating researchers worked with the World Bank team to produce small area summaries of firm data for Former Soviet Union (FSU) countries, including Russia and Ukraine. The variables included—by three-digit industry sector—number of firms, employment, output, and age/capital stock. These summaries included data for periods before the economic transition to markets and periods that were more recent (post 2000). These summaries were combined with the detailed geographic data produced by the World Bank team and analyzed to assess the importance of the factors identified above.
