Description
Researchers prepared an economic evaluation of the effectiveness of the U.S. Economic Development Administration's (EDA) regional programs. The study established a model that identified the characteristics associated with regions that have nurtured a strong environment for entrepreneurship and innovation. Then these characteristics were compared to the program efforts funded by EDA. Case studies for regions successful in nurturing economic growth were also described.
