Description
Prior to the opening of Firekeepers Casino in Emmett Township Michigan, a study was conducted by a team led by George Erickcek to estimate the economic impacts of the casino and establish baseline measures of potential social impacts. This study will update those results over the last 10 years. On the economic impact side, estimates will be generated for capital expenditures, operations, and visitor spending. On the social impact component, measures for Calhoun County and comparables will be included based on those used in the 2007 study.
